FROM TEE TO GREEN
Golfers playing The Preserve at Eisenhower Golf Course will recognize the original layout of the course except for holes 5 and 6 - hole 5 is now a par 4 and hole 6 is now a par 3. The number of tees have been expanded to five sets ranging from 4,792 to 7,164 yards to accommodate golfers of all skill levels. The traditional sand bunkers have been removed, and in their place the larger reshaped greens are protected by strategic knolls (also called hummocks) and low-cut approaches / mounding. These low cut areas and slopes around the green allow for creative shot selection. Golfers will also have to navigate the strategically placed hummocks when standing on par 4 and 5 tee boxes.
The painstaking renovation ensures first class turf conditions throughout the year. The scope of work includes; new A1/A4 Bent USGA spec greens, new Latitude Bermuda fairways and tees, new tall fescue rough, new double row irrigation, new cart paths, a new putting green, lengthened non limited flight driving range with target greens and a TurfHound continuous tee line, extensive drainage work, stream restoration, and the addition of 17 boardwalks.
